Patricia Beavers Payton was born in Newnan October 1, 1945. She was the daughter of the late Bob Beavers and Myrtle Gladney Beavers. She graduated from Western High School. “Pat” as she was known to all, was well-known in banking circles in this area and at the time of her retirement she was associated with Bank of Georgia. Pat was a fun loving and attentive mother and grandmother to her sons Vic Payton and his wife Shirley and their children, Kylee Payton and Wyatt Payton; Chad Payton and his wife Carol and their children Caleb Spinks, Austin Payton and Will Payton. Her surviving sister is Angie Holbrook. Also surviving is her great friend of many years, Jerry Whisenhunt, and the father of the children, David Payton.
