Patricia Brooks Hunter passed away on March 14, 2016, at her home. A life-long resident of Newnan, she was born June 22, 1940, and was the daughter of the late Jerry Thomas and Sara Emily Phillips Brooks. She found her true calling early in life exercising her nurturing spirit through nursing, as both a cardiac tech and as a nurse in ambulance service until 1992.
She is survived by her children Cathy Hunter, Lisha Justiss, and her husband Danny, Chris Hunter, Dawn, and Angie Hunter. Her grandchildren are Jennifer (Justiss) and David Humphries, Joey and Lindsey Justiss, Cameron Hunter and Kinsey, Katelyn Hunter, and D. J. Harris. Her great-grandchildren are Kloie and Dalten Humphries, Walker and Emma Riley Justiss, and Levi and Gaven Harris. Her sister is Barbara Pierce.
