Patricia Connor, age 61, of Livermore, passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017 at the Paula J Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge. On a hot morning, July 7, 1955 Patricia Irene became the first child of Roy Fisher, Jr. and Delores Irene Fisher (Ransford). Patti was born in Spirit Lake, Iowa and her dad heard of her birth while serving with the United States Navy in Yokoska, Japan. At the age of 8 months Delores and Patti flew to Japan to be with her father. Patti attended school in Kansas, Texas, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan before graduating in 1973 from John W. North High School in Riverside, California. She attended Riverside City College in California and Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge, Iowa graduating with an Associate of Arts Degree in 1978. In August of 1987 she began her Seminary Education on Eden Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri graduating in 1991. In 1990, Patti met and married Bernie Preusz of Jasper, Indiana. Bernie died in 1993. Four years later, in 1997 she met Robert Connor and they were married on August 23, 1997 in Swea City, Iowa. Through the years Patti has worked as a secretary, switchboard operator and a Nurses Aid before being ordained into the pastorate. Patti served as Pastor in Osgood & Holland, Indiana; Mapleton, Castana, Swea City, Ackley, Geneva and Lake City, Iowa. She also served as an associate with Bob. Patti was a member of First Baptist Church, Lake City and Lions Club International. She was preceded in death by her mother and husband, Bernie Preusz. Patti is survived by her husband, Bob Connor; father, Roy Fisher; brothers, Keith (Bytha) Fisher of Aransas Pass, TX, Michael (Arliss) Fisher of Cedar Rapids, IA, William (Dawn) Fisher of Shermantown, PA, Eric (Eileen) Fisher of Waseca, MN and Brian (Molly) Fisher of Ishpeming, MI; stepchildren, Loralee (Lane) Daniels of Houston, TX, Cindilee Connor of Houston, TX and Robert L. Connor of Janesvill, WI and special friends, John Draeger of Janesville, WI and Alice Marnin of Des Moines.
