Patricia Collins Coates, Age 77, passed away on September 6, 2021 in Newnan Georgia. She was born on April 2, 1944 in Livermore, California. She was the daughter of the late James Jean Collins and Olive Ruth Slocum, and sister to the late Richard Dale Collins. She is also predeceased by her husband, CW5 David Alan Coates, and her son, James Lee Duncan. Patricia graduated from Palo Alto High School, and went to College in Enterprise Alabama, graduating with a Computer degree. She was a military wife of 30 years, loving and supporting her husband David through four combat tours with the US Army, and years of world travel, while raising her three children Jimmy, Shannon and Marnie. She worked with the U.S government and retired in 2001. Patricia enjoyed gardening and flowers and had the greenest of thumbs. She was also the rescuer of animals, whether furry, fuzzy or feathered. Patricia enjoyed crafting, computers, and traveling. She lived with her husband and children in Germany and enjoyed her travels while there, especially the flowering gardens in Amsterdam. While overseas, she met her most beloved lifelong friend Kathy Manning. Patricia was a fiercely loyal mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by: her daughters Shannon (Eddie) Bavaro and Marnie (Todd) Sergent; Grandchildren: Patrick Erin Duncan, Chelsea Brooke Williams, and Ellen Storm Duncan; Great- Grandchildren, Teagan Duncan, Wyatt Williams, Jeremiah Duncan, Colin Shuler; and Sister Debbie Schultz.
