“On the evening of Sunday, October 27th, Patricia “Pat” Claire Schultheis of Lakewood, Colorado, went to be with her Lord and Savior at the age of 84, surrounded by her family.
Patricia was born on December 15, 1934, in Montpelier, Vermont, to Col. Malcolm Everett Craig and Irma Claire Craig. As an army brat, she called many places home including: Omaha, Laramie, Atlanta, San Francisco, San Diego, and Chicago. Some of her fondest memories were in Osaka, Japan, where her father served as Governor after World War II. She graduated from the University of Wyoming, and soon after, she married Robert “Bob” W. Schultheis on December 17, 1954. Pat and Bob moved to Lakewood, CO, in 1960, after adopting their son, Craig, and before adopting their daughter, Claire. Pat worked as a teacher for the Hadley School for the Blind and continued to use her knowledge of sign language up until her last breath.
