Patricia Chamberlain Hedrick (85) of Boca Raton, Florida passed away on December 8, 2019.

Born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on May 11, 1934 to Villa Lee and Bill Grimm she had two siblings that she adored, Peggy and Joe.  She was a true Floridian.  She graduated from Fort Lauderdale High School where she was a majorette and homecoming queen.  She went on to marry her high school sweetheart, Gene Chamberlain.  After Gene graduated medical school they traveled the world serving the US Army and later developed a private practice as a heart surgeon.

Patsy was happy to eventually settle in Boca Raton, Florida where she would take great pride in preserving its history.  She loved her town and its beauty so much that she was called to found the Boca Raton Historical Society serving as their first president.  She was also active in the Junior League of Boca Raton.

Following a life change, Patsy decided to return to school and became a residential real estate broker, where being a people person served her well.  She went on to join Arvida and within three years was one of their top sales producers winning numerous awards.

Patsy had many accomplishments but the one she was most proud of was her family.  Mother to Nancy, Steve, Susan and Karen and a baby she lost, David.  She was an outstanding mother who loved and cherished her children.  They will miss her dearly.

She had a way of making everyone feel special.  She will be remembered for her famous rum cakes, chocolate chip cookies and fried chicken.

She enjoyed her later years with a marriage to Cleve Hedrick and being a member of the Royal Palm Yacht and Country Club where she took great delight in playing bridge and socializing with her many friends. 

Patsy is survived by her children: Nancy Chamberlain, Steve Chamberlain, Susan Cobe and Karen Dingle, daughter in law June Chamberlain and son in law William Cobe.  She is also survived by her eight beautiful grandchildren; Samantha, David, Justin, Ryan, Casey, Jack, Lexi and Finn.
