Patricia Ann Ward of Crawfordsville, Indiana passed away at St. Vincent Hospital on Monday, January 21, 2019. She was born on January 8, 1933 to Walter and Sarah Taylor.
Pat attended Crawfordsville High School where she played oboe in the band. She married Donald Ward on September 3, 1949 in Darlington.
Pat was an active member of Mace United Methodist Church, Progressive Home Ec Club and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles, where she previously served as the Ladies’ Auxiliary President.
Pat will lovingly be remembered for her kindness, servitude, generosity and the love that she had for her family and friends. She was best known for her delicious baking and famous fried chicken.
Pat is survived by her three daughters, Susie (Rich) Carter, Gail Casteel, both from Ten Sleep, Wyoming, and Judy (Brad) Actis of Ladoga, Indiana. Pat was a treasured grandmother to Shelly (Ed) Leonida of Arlington Heights, Illinois; Tolly Dewey of San Diego, California; Brooke (Bobby) Schwab of Moses Lake, Washington; Erin (Travis) Jones of Crawfordsville, Indiana; Ryan (Rachel) Casteel of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; Travis (Desiree) French of McAllen, Texas; and Andrew Actis of Indianapolis, Indiana. Her fourteen great-grandchildren were her pride and joy.
Pat also leaves behind one brother, Dale Taylor of Crawfordsville, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Ward; parents, Walter and Sarah Taylor; and her brothers Clarence “Sonny” Taylor, Ronnie Taylor, and Dean Taylor.
