Norwich-Patricia A. Lake, 79, of East Town Street was greeted with open arms by her Lord on Friday, June 21st at the William W. Backus Hospital with her daughters by her side.
She was born in Norwich on March 3, 1934 daughter of the late Frank and Lorencia (Vandal) Tracey. Always a care giver, Pat worked most of her life as a psychiatric aide at Norwich State Hospital and then after her retirement she worked for an additional ten years for Interim Healthcare. Mrs. Lake loved crafts including cross stitch, knitting and crocheting, spending many hours reading anything from novels to cookbooks. She also loved music and dancing especially polka dancing with her husband, Carl Lake.
Mrs. Lake is survived by two daughters, Beth Lake of Norwich and Linda Lake and her husband Luke Dion of North Stonington. She also leaves behind a brother Joseph and his wife Sue Tracey of Keller, Texas; four grandchildren Lisa Sisco, Renee Maheu, Jamie Maheu and Andrew Dion; and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Lake was predeceased by her sister Marilyn Chiangi.
