THOMASDURHAM Mrs. Patricia “Ann” Barbee Thomas, 71, a former resident of Durham, died on Friday, July 9, 2010. Mrs. Thomas was a native of Durham but had been living in Southport for the past 5 years. She was private duty caregiver that left a lasting impression on everyone she ever met. She loved to have yard sales and her family members were always involved. She attended Emerald Isle Chapel by the Sea. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Brand of Southport; one son, Tony Thomas and wife, Becky of Southport; step-daughter, Michelle Miller of Winchester, Va.; two brothers, Tex Barbee and wife, Cindy of Florida, Foy Barbee and wife, Doris of Durham and granddaughter, Tori Ann Thomas.
