Patricia Ann Recchia, 67, of West Haven, beloved wife of 43 years to Michael Recchia, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2022, at her home. Born on June 3, 1954, in Bridgeport, CT, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Virginia (Maguire) Taurick.
In addition to her loving husband, Mike, Pat is survived by her children, John Recchia and Kristin (Michael) DeMasi; her sister, Sharon (Robert Aumann) Kay; her siblings-in-law, James “Sonny” (Sharon) Recchia, Terry (Joe) Carr, Elizabeth (Dave) Forsyth, Edward (Chantel) Recchia, Shelly (Carlos) Recchia-Padro, and Gil Nally; her nieces and nephews, Robert (Gayla) Kay, William Kay, Suzanne (Bill) Gall, Kate (Sal) Esposito, Elizabeth (Dustin) Werle, Dave (Elena) Forsyth, Jr., Jason (Allison) Forsyth, Francesca (Joe) Cumberledge, and Hayley, Jaycey, and Max Padro; her great nieces and nephews, Erika Gall, Isabella Esposito, Alex and Emilie Werle, Willa and Declan Forsyth, and Dominic and Joe, Jr. Cumberledge; her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members; and her two cats, Meisha and Keato. Pat was predeceased by her sisters-in-law, Donna Nally and Lisa Recchia.
Pat graduated from Milford High School. She retired as Administrative Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Field Management after 17 years with the Knights of Columbus in New Haven, CT.
Pat was passionate about her family, caring for her Husband, Mike, and her children, John and Kristin.
She was kind in cooking for her family and others, ensuring to cook up new recipes with sole ingredients designed to be enjoyed by the lucky individual she was feeding.
Pat was an avid gardener; starting each spring season with an annual “kick-off” tradition of establishing what would be planted with her family on Mother’s Day. She enjoyed gardening in the Milford Community Garden where she made many friends.
Pat had a unique ability to make friends and converse with anyone of any nature. Her beautiful smile and infectious giggle could light up a room warming any heart within her presence. Making friends was never an issue for Pat. Her charming, charismatic and quick-witted nature is something that will never be forgotten.
