Patricia Ann Ommen Freesen, 51, of Jacksonville, passed into God’s eternal light and grace on July 17, 2013, at St. John’s Hospice in Springfield.
She was born Oct. 5, 1961, the beloved daughter of Robert H. and Roseanne Ruppel Ommen. She married O.R. Freesen III on March 17, 1991, at Annie Merner Chapel on the campus of MacMurray College, and promptly fell in love with his four children, Sunset, Boomer, Willy and Mariah.
She is survived by her mother, Roseanne, and sister, Kathy Ommen, both of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her father; a sister in infancy, Deborah Kay; and a step-daughter, Sunset Jennifer.
Pat was a devoted Christian and was strong in her faith. She graduated from MacMurray College in 1985 and was currently pursuing her Master’s Degree in psychology. She enjoyed her friends and family, especially her four step-children. Patricia will be remembered for her unwavering integrity and her willingness to lend a hand to those in need. Her beauty and caring touched all those who knew her and our earthly loss is Heaven’s gain.
