Patricia Ann Moore Bruce, 68, of Salisbury passed away December 11, 2011 at Rowan Regional Medical Center.
Born June 16, 1943 in Rowan County, she was the daughter of the late J. Fred Moore and Nellie Preslar Moore.
A graduate of North Rowan High School Class of 1961, Mrs. Bruce attended East Carolina University and was a graduate of Salisbury Business College.
She was secretary in the School of Education at the University of South Carolina and worked in advertising and marketing at Century Furniture in Hickory. She was a PTA leader, Cub Scout Leader, and an avid North Carolina Tarheel fan.
Mrs. Bruce was a member of Amity Lutheran Church in Cleveland.
Preceding her in death were four brothers, Fred Moore, Jr., Harold Moore, Donald Moore, and Jerry Moore.
Survivors include her husband, the Reverend Gene Bruce, whom she married July 25, 1965; two sons, David Bruce of Charleston, SC and Daniel Bruce (Erin) of Salt Lake City, Utah; a daughter Elizabeth Bruce of Hickory; a sister Betty Young (Arnold) of Newport News, Virginia; a sister-in-law Dorothy Moore of Charlotte; and numerous nieces and nephews.
