Patricia Ann Kelley, age 88, of Walker, MN passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at Walker Rehab Center with her family by her side. She was born on February 19, 1930 in Dubuque, IA the daughter of George, Sr. and Manetta Roth.
Pat grew up and attended school in Minneapolis. She met Phillip Kelley and the two were united in marriage at St. Thomas Catholic church in Minneapolis on September 11, 1954. They moved to Bloomington in 1956 and later to Walker in 1975. They purchased Grand Vu Lodge prior to moving to Walker and operated the resort until their retirement in 1990. Pat enjoyed helping at various resorts around the area where she had a chance to meet many people. She loved talking to the people she met and taking care of the children that would come into the store. Pat was a wonderful cook and family dinners were very important to her, but a person didn’t dare step foot into her kitchen when she was cooking. Pat will be missed by all her family and friends.
The family that Pat joins again are her parents; George, Jr. and Manetta, brothers; George, William, and Richard, one sister; Jean Meloche.
Those she leaves behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 64 years; Phillip Kelley of Walker, sons; Michael (Dawn) Kelley of St. Michael, MN, James Kelley of Walker, Timothy Kelley of Spring Park, MN, Donald Kelley of Savage, MN, and Peter (Jeanne) Kelley of Walker, grandchildren; Lauren, Bryan, Payton, Nathan and Kristina, several nieces and nephews.
