Patricia “Patty” Ann Berg, 60 of Upton, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 22nd, 2021.
Through a friendship developed at a group home in Worcester, Amy Polenski then took Patty into her home. Within five years, Amy and her husband William Casey had four children, and they became a family of seven. This gave Patty four siblings, Catherine, Alyson, Christopher and Jessica. Patty also leaves behind Shirley Polenski, longtime friend Audrey Story and many other friends and relatives.
Patty loved to sing, dance and play her guitar. She loved celebrating holidays with family, being the life of the party and her Monday nights at the Rose Garden having a beer with friends. She went to every game the kids had, and although she may have clapped for the other team at times, everyone loved her anyways. With Amy’s mother, Shirley, and friend Rick she enjoyed Friday nights dancing at the Tuttle in Auburn, participating in monthly Men’s Club suppers at the Upton Senior Center and attending outdoor concerts.
