Patricia A. Zezula, 72, Huntington, IN, passed away at 8:15 p.m. on February 18, 2013 at Parkview Regional Hospital, Fort Wayne, IN. Mrs. Zezula was born April 29, 1940 in Monroe, Michigan to Sherman and Lula Sweat Cox. Patricia married Harry Zezula on August 19, 1972 in Monroe, Michigan. He survives in Huntington, IN. Patricia graduated from Ida High School she went to Huntington University in 1969 where she was hired as Assistant Athletic Director; she was promoted to Athletic Director, giving her the distinction of becoming the first female intercollegiate Athletic Director in Indiana.
She went on to get her Doctorate at Ball State University. Zezula retired from Huntington University in 2006 after 37 years.She started her own craft business out of her home as “”Pat Zezula & Friends”” She enjoyed crafts, gardening and collecting antiques. Along with her husband, she is survived by: Her mother, Lula Cox, Ida, MI; her son, Josh(Bethany) Zezula, Markle, IN; two sisters: Paula(Bruce) Banning, Jackson, Michigan and Billie(Kelvin) Reaume, Ida, MI; and three grandchildren, Landon, Carter and Selah Zezula, Markle, IN. She was preceded in death by her father, Sherman Cox and her sister, Shirley Fredrick. Calling hours will be from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at Union Church, 3688 E 400 N, Huntington, IN.
