Patricia A. (Laporta) Metlicke, 73, of Newington, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Joseph M. Metlicke, Jr. for 47 years. Born in New York City, daughter of the late Roland Joseph and Lucy (Vastola) Laporta, she and her husband lived in Westchester County, NY before moving to Newington 10 years ago. Patricia was a member of St. Mary’s Church and enjoyed doing crafts and needlepoint, always giving away her complete projects to others as gifts. She loved baking and spending time with her family, especially her beloved grandchildren. She was a selfless person who always thought of the needs of others before herself and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she leaves her three children, Lisa Anstey and her husband Chuck of Newnan, GA, Wayne Metlicke and his wife Pam of Delhi, NY and April Raboin and her husband Derrick of Newington, seven grandchildren, Erica and Jeffrey Anstey, Victoria and Sofie Rae Goudreault, Madison, Gabriella and Brayden Raboin and one foster grandson Franklin. She also leaves her brother Anthony “Buzzy” Laporta and his wife Maria of Bronxville, NY and many nephews.
