COLUMBIANA – Patricia A. (Rist) Libb, age 81, died at 6:54 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2018 at the Salem Regional Medical Center. She was born April 6, 1937 in Glendale, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Frank and Dora (Travis) Rist.
Patricia retired after 25 years working as the librarian for United Local Elementary School. She was a 4-H advisor, Sunday school teacher at the Salem First United Methodist Church, New Garden United Methodist Church and Columbiana Presbyterian Church. Patricia was a United High School board member for 15 years, United Local cheerleader advisor, United Local PTO President, and served on the United Local girls’ basketball tournament committee for 30 years. She helped start the Eagles Nest at the Lisbon fair and was a substitute teacher at Columbiana schools. Patricia was a United Local High School Wall of Fame recipient and received the Eagle Award.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald E. Libb of 63 years; two sons, Ronald F. (Jan) Libb of Prescott, AZ and Scott (Cheryl) Libb of Alliance; a daughter, Dianna (Tom) Richardson of Columbiana; two brothers, Gary Rist of Canfield and William Rist of Lisbon; two sisters, Penny J. Adams of Salem and Mary Ellen Rist of New Garden; grandchildren, Scott Richardson, Lindsay Richardson, Connor Richardson, Andrea Bouslough, Danielle Griffin, Jase Libb, Sydney Libb, Jerin Libb and Jessica Wright and her greatest joy was her seven great grandchildren.
A daughter, Barbara J. Libb and two brothers, Charles Rist and Ronald Rist also preceded her in death.
