    Patience M. (Wentz) Brunsdon was born to Fred and Edith (Wiers) Wentz on May 25, 1921 at Burchard, Nebraska.  She was a twin to her sister Patricia and one of 12 children born to this union.  Patience attended school through the eighth grade.  In her younger years she worked as a domestic in the Tecumseh area and also worked with the railroad cleaning the Zephyr in Lincoln before its next rail destination.   Patience helped others in child rearing for family and friends.  She is known as “grandma” to many young folks.  Patience was also a seamstress and tailor.   

     Patience was united in marriage to Jacque C. Brunsdon on Dec.29, 1947 in Wilber, Nebraska.  To this union three children were born.  Jacque was in the Armed Forces for 30 years and she traveled to several countries and throughout the United States as a military wife and homemaker.  She and Jacque lived in many places including Japan, Germany, Offutt Air Force Base and retired in Klamath Falls, Oregon.  In 2004 Patience returned to her family roots in southeast Nebraska, where she resided in the Tecumseh Manor and later moved to Ridgeview Towers in Tecumseh. 

  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, reading, puzzles, collecting teddy bears and going to the casino. 

   Patience passed away at the Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh, Nebraska on Thursday, May 1, 2014 at the age of 92 years.

   She is survived by her son, Michael J. Brunsdon of Klamath Falls, OR, daughter, Susan M. Blank and husband Marty of Las Cruces, NM, grandchildren, Matthew Brunsdon, Kelly Brunsdon, Richard Bowman and Amber Barnard, 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter, sister-in-law, Rachel I. Wentz of Adams and many nieces and nephews.

   Patience was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Barbara Jean Brunsdon and siblings, Charles Wentz, Hazel White, Lewis Wentz, Everett Wentz, Ernest Wentz, Richard Wentz, Leonard Wentz, Patricia Bauman, Bertha Keebler and Rebecca Akin.
