Pastor Jack Tackett, age 70, of Morehead, was born November 6, 1950, in Cincinnati, Ohio, and went to meet his Lord and Savior on the Lord’s Day, Sunday, August 29, 2021, at 10:26 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Elijah and Nellie Tackett, and one granddaughter, Abigail Tackett.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Diane Tackett, and his three daughters, Jennifer Maples and husband Lester, Jackie Tackett, Teresa Jefferson, and one son, Jason Tackett and his wife Holly. He is currently survived by 10 grandchildren: Nykalea Tackett, Lincoln Jefferson, Colton Maples, Savannah Jefferson, Andrew Tackett, Annalese Jefferson, Philip Tackett, Cody Maples, Tyion Alderman, and Eli Tackett. He is further survived by three siblings: William Donald Tackett, Phyllis Childress and husband Jim, and Chris Tackett and wife Margaret. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
