DURHAM Pastor Don Wadford, 57 of Durham, died on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, after a courageous battle with cancer. Pastor Don loved his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, his family and his host of friends. He never met a stranger and was one that anyone could go to for encouragement and to be uplifted.Pastor Wadford was born on April 24, 1954 to the late Otis Don Wadford Sr. and Carolyn Mitchell “Moogie” Wadford. He was employed with the American Tobacco Company and Public Service Gas Company. He was the Pastor of the Cornerstone Community Church in Durham and was the former Pastor of the New Birth Worship Center in Creedmoor. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Wadford; three sons, Donnie Wadford and wife, Teresa of Durham; Chris Wadford and wife, Jamie of Durham and Tim Fox Jr.
