Pastor Benjamin Rayford age 78, was born to Martha and Willie Rayford on September 22,1942. He was born and raised in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. Pastor Ben gave his life to Christ at an early age. He married the love of his life Ruby Rayford on September 14,1985. Pastor Ben was well known all around the world by singing God’s praises and preaching God’s word. He song with The Spiritual Wonders, The Jackson Travelers, and later he formed a group of his own well known as Pastor Ben & The Sounds of Salvation. Pastor Ben was the Pastor of Philadelphia Musical Worship Center for over thirteen years. Ben inspired a lot of groups from the quartet industry especially The Williams Singers. Ben loved his family and friends all over the world. Ben mentored the young and the old no matter who they were he took them under his wings.
Pastor Ben is reunited with his parents, Martha & Willie Rayford, Father-in-law Denver Allen, his sister Willie Lee Rogers(Andy) and his son Lonnie Allen.
Pastor Ben had a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews that he loved dearly. To carry on his legacy, he passed the torch on to his grand-baby Shalicia McCoy Brandy
