Pasquale T. Carlo, 94, of Holiday City West section of Berkeley Twp., NJ passed away Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born in Paterson, NJ, he was a longtime resident of Paterson before moving to Berkeley Twp. 30 years ago.
Pasquale worked at Curtis Wright in Lodi, NJ for 26 years then at El Paso/Dart Industries in Paramus, NJ for 11 years, retiring in 1984. Mr. Carlo was a US Army WWII veteran, attaining the rank of Sergeant. During the war, he was held in Poland as a prisoner of war for 18 months and was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a parishioner of St. Maximilian Kolbe RC Church, Berkeley Twp. and was a member of the Holiday City West Men’s Club, Bowling League and Golf Club.
He was also a charter member of the Italian American Club. Pasquale was predeceased by his wife of 68 years Gloria (nee Manzo) in February. He is survived by his daughter and son in law Carol Ann & Jack Warr of Manahawkin, NJ and 2 grandchildren Stacey Kelsall and her husband Stefan of Little Egg Harbor, NJ and Robyn Warr of Manhattan, NY.
