Parmille Annette “Polly” LaVoie Carson, 88, Pendleton, passed away May 2, 2010, at her residence. She was born February 8, 1922, in Beaverville, Illinois to Joseph Rock and Emma LaVoie.
Polly resided in the Anderson/Pendleton area all of her life. She married Francis Milo Carson on October 11, 1952. Polly worked at the Banner Store and then ALAC retired after 27 years in 1987. Polly was active in AARP, enjoyed gardening, traveling with friends, “grandmothering” her neighbor children, and attending St. Ambrose Catholic Church.
She is survived by her stepson, Phillip Carson & wife Cindy; brother, Ames Rock; very special neighbors, Andy & Lori Ryan, Marc, Eric Hannah, Molly, Ayden, and “Roscoe,” several nieces and nephews, and numerous friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, 5 brothers, and her husband.
