Pamela Sue Oliver, PhD, 78 of Kissimmee, Florida passed away peacefully on Friday, September 10, 2021. Pam was born in Louisville, Kentucky, the daughter of Robert and Lillian Von Gruenigen Oliver. She graduated from Waggener High School in Louisville in 1961 and completed her undergraduate studies at Eastern Kentucky University in 1965.
Dr Oliver moved to Central Florida about 40 years ago from Tallahassee. She retired in 2008 from Orange County Public Schools where she was an Assistant Principal at Washington Shores Elementary and Lakemont Elementary Schools. Pam was also the Coordinator of Elementary Health and Physical Education for Orange County for 13 years. Her second retirement came in 2014 from Florida State University where she was a regional Coordinator for Student Teacher Interns.

Pam was a Past President of Shape Florida, Society for Health and Physical Educators and served on the Board of Governors for both the Southern District and National Association of Shape America (AAHPERD).

She was an avid golfer, world traveler, from Munich in 1972 to Africa and everywhere in between; passionate about youth fitness from the elementary swim program, Walk for Wellness or the mobile Bicycle Safety course and, of course, she never met a stranger. This was Pam from Orlando.

Two brothers, Jerry (Pat) Oliver of Louisville and Craig (Babs) of Castle Rock, Co and a sister-in-law, Nettie Oliver survive. Brothers, Robert and Lanville Oliver and sister, Marta Vonn proceeded her in death. She has many cherished nieces, nephews, friends and caregivers who she dearly loved.
