Pamela “Pam” Jane Caldwell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 68 in her home with family and friends by her bedside in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She will be remembered for her endearing sense of humor, love for her family and extraordinary strength. Pam was born on September 7, 1949 in Beardstown, Illinois by Dr. Robert Spencer. As fate would have it she would later marry his son, Stephen Spencer, and spend 46 wonderful years together enjoying vacations all over the world and raising their two children. After graduating from Jacksonville Routt High School in 1967 she went on to attend St. John’s Nurses School in Springfield, Illinois. Well-known as a hardworking nurse throughout her life, even into her last months, Pam was beloved by her fellow nurses and remained close with many of the doctors she supported throughout her career. Pam was a perfectly imperfect friend, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother and wife. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Stephen Spencer, son and daughter-in-law Phillip and Leonna Spencer, daughter and son-in-law Katie and Aaron Facchinello, grandchildren Jack and Isabella, cousin Cindy Farmer, who she loved like a sister, siblings Pat Crudup, Jim Caldwell, Chris Caldwell and nieces and nephews. However, they remain comforted in the fact that Pam was met with open arms in heaven by her mother, Laura Abbott Caldwell, who passed away when Pam was a child, her father, A.B Caldwell, and step mother Mary Whalen Caldwell.
