Palmer “Brooks” Madison, 73, of Great Falls, passed away on November 12, 2014 at a local care facility of natural causes.

Brooks was born on August 17, 1941, in Ottawa, KS, to parents Palmer and Gertrude Madison. Brooks attended college and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He spent his life in a variety of jobs and positions, but the one he was most proud of is as the Store Manager for Montgomery Ward. In the 1960s he married Johanne Kuntz which ended in divorce. From this union they had 2 sons.

Brooks had a variety of interests and hobbies. He enjoyed building model ships, and playing guitar and banjo. He served as the President of the Portage Route for the Lewis & Clark Foundation, was a member of the Military Affairs Committee of The Chamber of Commerce, and was on the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.

He was survived in death by sons, Paul (Kate) Madison of Culver City, CA, Christopher (Melissa) Madison of Madison, WI; sister, LaDonna (Doug) Bradley of Glendale, AZ; nieces, Jennifer & Leslie Bradley, nephew Darin Bradley, and special friend Ellen Gersack.

Brooks was preceded in death by his parents, PB and Trudy Madison.
