Joycelyn “Joyce” Dumais, 97, of Noank, CT formerly of Willimantic, CT passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on January 9, 1925 in Willimantic, CT, the daughter of the late Albert and Catherine (Dreissigacker) Panico.
Joyce retired in 1987 from Northeast Utilities as an executive secretary. She was an avid reader who enjoyed gardening, traveling, and swimming. Above all, being with family brought her the most joy.
She is survived by her children; Randall Dumais, Kathleen Johnson & her husband Wesley, and Nancy Mooney. Additionally, she leaves her grandchildren Allison Johnson, Lauren (Johnson) Levasseur & her husband Roger, Lindsay Johnson & her fiancé Kris Balisciano, Dana Mooney, and Eric Mooney; as well as her treasured great grandchildren Lilia and Isla Levasseur. She also leaves many nieces and nephews; especially Jan Mott and his wife Lucy, who were a constant source of support for her.
Joyce was predeceased by her former husband Roland Dumais, beloved son Gary Dumais, grandson Brenton Johnson, and sister Carol Mott.
Joyce will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
