Oveal C. Gilbert, 88 passed away on August 2, 2017 in Florida. Mr. Gilbert was born on December 17, 1928 in Crane’s Nest, Kentucky and graduated from the Kentucky School for the Deaf in Danville, before coming to Maryland. He resided in Maryland for 45 years, before moving to Florida where he lived for the last 27 years. Oveal started in the printing business in Baltimore and eventually retired from the Government Printing Office for the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores Gilbert. Mr. Gilbert is survived by his three children, Edward Gilbert and wife, Lauren; Janice Gilbert and Deanna Lechowicz; his grandchildren, Kiley, Delaney, Dylan and Logan; and his close friend, Diana Wagner.
