Mr. Johnson peacefully passed away at a local hospital. He is the husband of Juanita Johnson.

OTIS L. JOHNSON, affectionately known by many as “John” or “Big O”, was born on March 29, 1943 in Decatur, Georgia. He was the fourth child born to the union of Robert and Louise Johnson. Otis received his formal education through the Decatur, Georgia public school system, where he also graduated from high school.
In 1963, Otis enlisted into the United States Navy, where he served his country with pride during the Vietnam Conflict. He received his Honorable Discharge in 1967 in San Diego, California, making it his permanent residence.
Otis later met the lovely Juanita Tyler. They were later united in marriage in 1967. Their union was beautifully blessed with three children.
Otis was always hardworking and strived to make a good life for his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Robert Johnson, Jr., Lorenzo Johnson and Claude Johnson.
On October 11, 2013, Otis L. Johnson, “Big O”, was called from earthly labor to eternal rest. He leaves to cherish his memory his bride of forty-seven years, Juanita Johnson; two sons, Christopher Johnson (Sachiyo) and Keith Johnson; daughter, Tracy L. Johnson; grandson, Ryder Johnson; two sisters, Mildred Arnold and Myrtice Nunn (Brady); two godsons, Deandre Collier and Christopher Nash; two honorary sons, Adrian Ewings, Sr. and Freddie Downs and a host of other relatives and friends.
Otis was loved by many; he has left us all with a lifetime of good memories to comfort us as we go through this life without his physical presence.
