Othor G. Simmons, 86 of Wenona, passed away at 9:30 AM Saturday (June 7, 2014) at his residence.
He was born on February 23, 1928 in Kinsman, IL to James & Ella J. (Nelson) Simmons. He was married to the former Barbara Ann Cowling. She preceded him in death on October 4, 1985.
He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.
One of Othors hobbies was to that he loved to fish.
He is survived by his children: Nancy (Dan) Hollinsaid of Malden, IL, Jerry Simmons of Wenona and Sherry (John) Luning of Gridley. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife; a son, Robert “Fitz” Simmons; a grandson, Lincoln Hollinsaid and 7 brothers, 5 sisters and two half sisters.
