Oscar M. Ohrn, Jr., 87, died on Sunday, November 28, 2021, in Rose Monahan Hospice House, Worcester, after an illness.
His wife of 63 years, Joan D. (Gustafson) Ohrn, died in 2018.
He leaves a daughter, Debra A. (Ohrn) Chambers and her husband, Kevin A. Chambers, of Charlton; two grandsons: Derek J. Chambers and his wife, Demi B. Chambers, and Brian W. Chambers, his wife, Youkie Chambers, and their son, Blake W. Chambers, all of Seattle.
He was predeceased by his parents, Oscar M. Ohrn, Sr., and Vincenta (Wawrzyniak) Ohrn, of Grafton.
Born in the Whitinsville section of Northbridge on May 14, 1934, he graduated from Worcester Boys Trade High School, and served during peacetime (1956-1958) in the U.S. Army Reserve.
After an honorable discharge, he returned to Worcester and to work at the Wyman Gordon Co. He retired in 1990 after 44 years of employment.
He was a longtime member of St. Mark’s Catholic Parish in Sutton,
the 200 Sportsmens Club in Webster, and the NRA. He enjoyed watching football, basketball and baseball and, in his younger years, playing basketball and softball. During most of his life, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting and golf.
