Oscar Anthony “Tony” Poli of New Milford was 82 when he passed away on Wednesday, June 18th. Born in Capodistria, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in 1950. Tony entered the United States Army in 1951 proudly serving in Korea as a Forward Scout. After returning from the War, Tony entered St. Peter’s College where he earned a BA in Economics. He then went on to continue his studies at the University of Illinois where he received his MA, later furthering his studies, Tony earned a Doctorate in Economics from New York University. Following a distinguished 17 year career at the College of New Rochelle, Tony returned to the corporate world of international trade. Surviving are his loving wife Jeanne (nee Duva), sons Chris and wife Barbara, Greg and wife Lee, and Geoff and wife Keri. He was predeceased by a sister Odilla Lindstrom. Tony was the cherished grandfather of Stephanie and Brian, Michael, Nick, Jon, Matt, Cati, Jamilee, and Jim.
