Oscar Alvoy Fogle, Jr., 71, of Taneytown, MD died peacefully on Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  Born February 11, 1947 in Taneytown, he was the son of the late Oscar Alvoy Fogle, Sr. and the late Dorothy Alice (Fox) Fogle.  He was the devoted husband of Joyce (Myerly) Fogle, to whom he was married for almost 53 years.

Oscar worked at Taneytown Grain and Feed for 18 years and as a Manager at Southern States in Taneytown for 20 years.  He was a member of Grace Rocky Hill Evangelical Lutheran Church in Woodsboro, where he formerly served on the church council, taught Sunday School and served as pastor’s assistant. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army.  He loved going to flea markets, antiquing, playing cards and watching old movies.  He was a fan of the former Baltimore Colts and an avid collector of Harry and Barry Richardson paintings and prints.    

Surviving, in addition to his beloved wife Joyce, are sons, Brian Fogle and wife Heather, and David Fogle, all of Taneytown; sister, Wanda Enright of Gettysburg, PA; 8 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by sister, Darlene Fogle and an infant sister, Sheila Fogle.
