Osbourne A. Richards, 56, of Cromwell, husband of Barbara (Hemphill) Richards, died Thursday, October 4th in Cromwell. Born in Montego Bay, Jamaica he was the son of the late Stanley and Joyce (Peterkin) Richards and migrated to the United States twenty years ago.<br>He was a taxi driver for many years in Jamaica and Middletown, also worked for Air Jamaica Airlines, and was very much liked.<br>Osbourne was a happy go lucky person, known for his quick witted comedy and had a very deep love for his family. His goal in life was to own his own business which he accomplished with much pride sixteen years ago when he started Richards Auto Detailing in Berlin.<br>Besides his wife he is survived by four sons, Osbourne A. Richards, II of Jamaica; Alexander Richards of Jamaica; Roshone A. Richards of Cromwell; Osbourne A. Richards, III of Cromwell, three daughters, Naddia Richards of Jamaica, Andrea Richards of Jamaica, Denise Richards of Jamaica and one stepson, Devon Hemphill of Middletown; three brothers, Stanbury W. Thorpe of Windsor, Keith Richards of Jamaica, Junior Richards of Jamaica; three sisters Sonia Millington of Jamaica, Margaret Millington of Canada, and Olive Gilling of Rocky Hill and two granddaughters in Jamaica.
