Mr.

Orville was born on January 9, 1940, in Stanton County, the fifteenth child of William and Margaret (Splittgerber) Roenfeldt. He graduated from Stanton High School in 1959. Following his education, Orville was employed as a farm hand.

On April 2, 1961, Orville married his high school sweetheart, Rita Moritz. They farmed east of Stanton prior to moving into Stanton in 1967. He was employed by the county before he acquired Roenfeldt Plumbing and Heating from his brother, Fritz. When he retired from the plumbing business, Orville worked for Stanton as the street superintendent.

Orville enjoyed fishing and playing cards with his family and friends. He was a Husker fan and attended many bowl games. He also enjoyed cooking. However, his passion was his family.

Orville is survived by his wife of 54 years, Rita; their four children and their spouses—Deb and Kirk Morgan, Rich and Jill Roenfeldt, Cheryl and John McCollum, all of Norfolk, and Willy Roenfeldt, of Stanton; six grandchildren—Mariah Morgan, of Omaha, Brodie Morgan, of Lincoln, Sydney and Lake Thompson, of Spokane, WA, Josie, Adrianna and Lilly Roenfeldt, all of Norfolk; seven sisters and two brothers—Mabel Hartman, of Stanton, Sally Stuthman, of Pilger, LaVern and Norman Lehman, of Stanton, Florence Carson, of Pilger, Walt and Janet Roenfeldt, of Stanton, Lois and Keith Jech, of Wayne, Lawrence and Carolyn Roenfeldt, of Stanton, Dorothy and Dallas Anders of Stanton, Clara and Dennis Severa, of Stanton and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters—Marie Wendt, Hilda Remm and Esther Sydow; two brothers—Emil Roenfeldt and Fritz Roenfeldt; six brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law.
