Orville “Bud” Boone succumbed to complications of Parkinson’s Disease March 13, 2017.
Bud was born in Pittsburgh, PA, on September 8th, 1933. He was a graduate of Brentwood High School and the University of Pittsburgh. Upon graduation from Pitt, he was commissioned a second lieutenant in the AF in 1955 and served until his retirement in 1977 as a Lt. Colonel. Before his Air Force retirement he served as commander of the 391st Fighter Squadron, Mtn. Home Idaho.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bette (Scott) Boone, his children Monica (Bruce) Rice, David (Leslie) Boone, Susan Boone Amos, Steve (Nikki) Boone. and 11 grandchildren. In addition to his immediate family, he is survived by a close cousin Ronald (Marlene) Mould of Selbyville, Delaware.
He was preceded in death by his parents Orville and Florence Schumm Boone, and a grandson Ryan T. Boone.
