Orvilla Snyder Phipps passed away on February 10, 2021 in Pueblo West, Colorado, aged 89.
Orvilla was born the daughter of Charles Nelson Snyder and Clara Mills Snyder near Green Castle, Missouri on August 20, 1931. She was united in marriage to Kenneth Phipps in Clayton, New Mexico.
Orvilla is survived by her daughter, Kitty (Frank) Dilatush of Arvada, Colorado; grandchildren, Ken (Gina) Phipps, Ashley (Damon) Loe; great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her nine siblings: Ellen Billington, Ira Snyder, Pearlie Snyder, Gladys Santarelli, Doris Albertson, Ramah Billington, Maxine Shafer, James Howard Snyder, and Lura Mae Wiedenkofer. She was also preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and daughter Clara (Princess) Anderson.
Orvilla attended rural schools in Adair county, including Ringo Point; and Kirksville High School, and later completed her college business degree while also a working wife and mother.
Her career involved retail, banking, and she worked many years as Administrative Assistant for Steel City Electric Company. In addition, she enjoyed making music and gathering many lifelong friends as a successful Mary Kay representative.
