Orval Conrad Pride 69, of Masontown passed away suddenly Wednesday, July 14, 2010 while working in his store in Masontown, WV.
He was born November 14, 1940 in Morgantown a son of the late Orval Conrad and Bette Louise (Jackson) Pride.
Known as Conrad he owned and operated Conrad’s Grocery along with his wife Sandra. He had retired from the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department where he had served many years. He was Buckwheat Festival King Fireman in 1970 and again in 1980. He was a member of the Masontown Baptist Church and served on the Board, he also served on the Masontown Sewer Board.
He is survived by his wife Sandra (Jenkins) Pride of Masontown; son Jeff Pride and spouse Carmen of the Kingwood Pike; three daughters Shelly Soccorsi and spouse Joe of Morgantown, Jamie Antoline and spouse Steve of Mt. Lookout, Heather Pride and companion Scott Squires of Reedsville; one brother Curtis Pride and spouse Pam of Littleton; three sisters Paula and LaRue Pride both of Laurel Point, and Donna Snyder and spouse Charlie of Illinois; eight grandchildren Zach Pride; Jordan and Teryn Soccorsi; Emily, Kris, and Madison Antoline; Jordyn and Aiden Squires.
He was preceded in death by one brother Thomas.
