Orrin Trenary, age 93 of Humboldt, passed away Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt. Orrin L. Trenary, the son of Earl and Pearl (Nickelson) Trenary, was born on August 31, 1926 in Gilmore City, Iowa. Orrin was raised in Gilmore City and entered into the United States Army in 1945. In 1948, Orrin was united in marriage to Grace Fuhr. The marriage was later dissolved but their love rekindled and the couple remarried in 1968. Orrin worked as a cement finisher and worked for the DOT until his retirement in 1988. He then worked for the conservation commission. Orrin was a true outdoorsman and loved to hunt and fish. His grandkids were his pride and joy. Left to cherish Orrin’s memory are his daughters, Jane (Keith) Phillips of Humboldt and Janice (Denny) Marchant of Humboldt; grandchildren, Jamie (Denise) Heidt, Angie Heidt, Tiffany (Ryan) George and Tanner Phillips; greatgrandchildren, Jaden and Jacey Heidt, Kenyon and Teeyona Corliss and Grayson George and Collin Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Grace; brothers, Robert and Jim and sister, Revera.
