Oris B. ”Mac” McCoy, 86, Indianapolis, died November 10, 2002 at his residence after an extended illness. He was born September 26, 1916 in Greentown, Indiana, and resided in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He lived in Anderson for 56 years before moving to Indianapolis in 1997. He retired January 1, 1978 as the Supervisor Cost Accounting from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 36 years of service. He was a graduate of Purdue University.

He had specialized training in accounting from Indiana University. He was a member of an Anderson Central Christian Church. He was a member of the Horticulture Society and Mounds Kiwanis. He volunteered for the Scottsdale, Arizona Library. He was an avid stamp collector, wood carver and gardener. He enjoyed photography.

He is survived by his Wife whom he married May 25, 1941 at Main Street Christian Church in Kokomo: Frances L. Lichtenwalter McCoy. Two Nieces: Rita Gamble of Charlotte, North Carolina. Karen & husband Steven Luther of Charlotte, North Carolina. Two Great Nephews: Jeffrey & wife Lesley Gamble of Atlanta, Georgia. Jason & wife Karen Luther of Quincy, Massachusetts. Three Great Nieces: Brittany Luther of Charlotte, North Carolina. Dr. Laura & husband Matt Steiner of Charlotte, North Carolina. Kristin Gamble of Atlanta, Georgia. Five Great Great Nephews and One Great Great Niece. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rev. Richard Omer & Armitta Miller McCoy. Sister: Esther Truex. Two Brothers: LaVon McCoy and Harold McCoy.
