Orfa Garcia Ortiz, 72, of Pleasanton and formerly of Temple passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2018 in Plesanton, Texas.

Orfa was born July 22, 1946 in Talpa, TX to Feliciano and Prajedes (Hinojosa) Garcia. She grew up in Mission TX. She married Inocencio Munoz Ortiz on October 29, 1961 in Lubbock, TX. After marriage she lived in Taylor and eventually moved to Temple in 1975, where she called Temple her home. She was a stay-at-home mom and Co-owner of Ortiz Painting. She with her husband the late Pastor Ortiz pastored El Sendero De La Cruz in Austin and Eco’s De Fe in Cameron. Soon after the passing of her husband she moved to Pleasanton, TX with her daughter and son in law Olivia and Ruben Ortiz. She was an active member of The Holy One Church in San Antonio, TX.

Preceded in death by her father Feliciano Garcia, Inocencio Munoz Ortiz her husband of 50 years, Elisha Ortiz her eldest grandson and Ryan Hernandez her great grandson.

Survivors include her Mother Prajedes Garcia of Mission, TX. 3 sons David Ortiz and wife Esther of Austin, Jesus Ortiz and wife Lera of Austin, Inocencio Ortiz, Jr. and wife Kelly of Thorndale, 4 daughters Olivia Ortiz and husband Ruben of Pleasanton, Linda Hernandez and husband Juaquin Hernandez, Jr. of Temple, Alicia Rosales and husband Ramon Rosales, Jr, of San Antonio and Margarita Monrreal of Temple 2 brothers Feliciano Garcia, Jr. of Waxahachie, Moises Garcia of Mission, TX and 5 sisters Tabitha Flores, Jesusita Hernandez, Esther Ozuna, Hilda Garcia, and Criselda Bocanegra all of Mission, TX. 11 Grandchildren Avea Ortiz-Ezell, spouse Wade of Orlando, Florida, Echo Malcik, spouse Stephen of Kyle, TX,  Juaquin Hernandez III, spouse Alyssa,  Krystal Tuck, spouse David, Kristine Rodriguez, spouse Steven and Christopher Monrreal all of Temple, Micaela Rosales, and Maelene Rosales of San Antonio, TX, Inocencio Ortiz III (Trey) and Tyler Ortiz of Thorndale, TX, and ToriBeth Ortiz of Austin and 9 Great-Grandchildren Isabel Ezell, Marli Ezell, and Timothy Ezell all of Orlando, Florida, Avery Tuck, Brooklyn Tuck, Olivea Rodriguez, and Melody Rodriguez all of Temple, TX, Rylee Malcik and Zoey Malcik of  Kyle, TX.
