Orey A. Foley, 95, of 2327 11th St., Peru, died October 11, 2006, at River Bluff Nursing Home, Rockford, where he had resided for 1 years.
He was born March 19, 1911 in Spring Valley to Louis and Speranza (Ferrari) Foley. He worked at Westclox and retired from G&O Radiator Plant in Peru. He taught night classes at IVCC in metalworking. He was a graduate of Hall High School, LPO Junior College, and the Elgin Watch College. He married Hazel Freihoefer on November 15, 1941 in St. Josephs Church, Peru. He was a member of St. Josephs Church, Peru, and a former member of the Peru Eagles, REAC. He is survived by: 1 son, Terrence (Kathy) Foley of Arlington Heights; and 2 daughters, Maureen Moe (Arthur) Simek of Rockford, and Linda (John) Schmeling of Rockford; 9 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; and 1 sister-in-law, Rosemary Wendt Reimann of Peru.
He was preceded in death by: his wife, Hazel Foley, on May 29, 1999; and a daughter, Janice Ernenputsch on April 21, 2002.
