Born in Wayne Co., she is the daughter of the late Arthur McCullen Lofton Sr. and Margaret Faison Lofton.
Cherished memories will linger in the hearts of her sons, Joseph Eugene Lofton, Leon Dexter Pearsall and Christopler “Alex” Melvin of Mt. Olive; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary “Mae” Faison of Mt. Olive and Doris Ann Lofton of Philadelphia, PA; three brothers, Rev. Arthur “Rabbit” Lofton of Philadelphia, PA, Rev. Arthur Jr. Lofton of Kinston and Norman Lofton of Ohio, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She has been reunited with her husband, Willie C. Melvin and her son, David J. Lofton.
