Ora Edith Hart, 96, of 1251 Memorial Avenue, died Monday, August 3, 2009 at The Gatehouse Hospice.
Ora attended Williamsport schools leaving in the 11th grade to work and help the family and worked in the office of a silk mill until it closed. She played the piano and sang with a friend at radio station WRAK once a week. One day while walking home she met Valentine (Wally) Hart whom she married in 1932 and celebrated 61 happy years until his death in 1994. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.
Born January 11, 1913 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Harry A. and Elsie V. Smith Snyder.
Surviving are daughters, Charlene V. (Alfred) Frank, with whom she lived, Joyce I. (Howard) Green of Moreno Valley, Cal. and Lindalee (Gerald) Walsh of Callahan Court, Fla.; a son, David C. (Tammy) of Proctor; 22 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
