Mrs. Ophelia Belo Parker, 95, former resident of 12432 Trinity Rd., Trinity died on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at The GrayBrier Nursing and Retirement Ctr.
Ophelia was born on January 23, 1919 in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Edward and Flora Moffitt Belo. She was a lifelong resident of the area and was the owner and operator of Parker’s Superette of Trinity. She was a faithful member of Bethel Glenola United Methodist Church where she served with the United Methodist Women, Senior Usher Board, and as a former Trustee.
In addition to her parents, her husband, Raymond Parker, one son, Melvin Parker; five sisters, and three brothers preceded her in death.
Surviving relatives include a brother, Winfred Belo (Glenna) of Archdale; sisters, Annie Ruth Clinton of Sedalia, Dovie Rush of High Point, and Hilda Rector (Roy) of Winston-Salem; two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Jewelene Parker of High Point; a host of other relatives and friends.
