Opal M. Bridgeman, 95. of Marion and formerly of Anderson went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 13, 2011 at Miller’s Merry Manor of Marion with her family at her bedside. She was born February 12, 1916 in Powersburg, Kentucky to Lee and Florence (Bridgeman) Brown. Opal attended school in Powersburg. She was a homemaker.
Opal is survived by her daughter Barbara A. Threet; Marion, sister Lucy Ballinger; Richmond, five grandchildren Carol Prochnow (husband-Billy); Marion, Stephen Threet (wife-JoAnn); Sweetser, Greg Threet (wife-Michelle); Fairmount, Rhonda Atkinson (husband-Rev. Mark); Gas City, Ginger Hill (husband-Rev.Steve); Americus, Georgia, daughter-in-law Eilene Bridgeman; Gas City, 15 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-
grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Opal was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 55 years William E. “Bill” Bridgeman, son Ronald Bridgeman, son-in-law Bill Threet.
