Opal L. Arnett Clevenger, 86, Pendleton, died June 6, 2005 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness.

She was born October 25, 1918 in Pendleton, Indiana, and resided in Pendleton, Indiana. She lived in Madison County all of her life.

She retired from Delco Remy Division of General Motors after 34 years of service. She and her husband, Raymond, owned and operated the Oak Tavern in Pendleton for many years.

She was a member of American Legion, Amvets Auxilary and the UAW Local #662. She was known for her pie making.

She is survived by her daughter: Pat Rex Frazee of Pendleton. Granddaughters: Kim Mellinger and Jobie Kevin McCrocklin of Pendleton. Stepchildren: Linda Robert Cedars of Kokomo. Thomas Clevenger of Ingalls. Loretta Doyce Baker of Ingalls. John Susie Clevenger of Noblesville. Step Grandchildren: John Clevenger, Raymond Clevenger, Chad Clevenger, Cheryl Yancey, Tim Bennett, Chris Baker, Earl Baker and Shannon Neuman. Great Grandchildren: Lauren and Malerie Mellinger, Kyle, Aaron and Jamie McCrocklin. Several Step Great Grandchildren. Nephews: Evan and Gerald Keesling of Florida. Several Step Nieces & Nephews. Very Special Friend: Don Upton. Special Caregivers: Elene James and Mary Coppess.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years: Raymond Clevenger in 1990. Parents: Hale & Oneta Helms Arnett. Sister: Laberta Tragasser. Step Great Grandchildren: Paula & Tom Clevenger.
