Opal Clark Hastings, daughter of the late Joseph Taylor and Julia O’Neal Clark died May 8, 2007. She was a long-time member of First Baptist Church in Newnan, GA. Born in Meriwether County, on August 24, 1910, she was predeceased by her husband, William Kendall “Skip” Hastings; son Harry Kendall Hastings; daughter-in-law Mary Louise Hill Hastings; grandson Michael Eugene Farr, granddaughter, Julia Frances Farr Siddons, and son-in-law, W. Eugene Farr.
She is survived by daughters, Julianne Farr, of Fayetteville, GA; Willene (Ray) Lucas of Merritt Island FL; daughter-in-law, Mary Nell Hastings, of Raleigh NC; 9 grandchildren; Mary (Pat) Brame, Kay (Wes) Freeman, Lynn (Chris) Moore, Bill (Pat) Hastings, Cindy (Les) Groom, Ken (Sonya) Farr, Julia (“Saki”) Diakakis, Kathleen Lucas, and Earl Kendall “Skip” Lucas; 17 great-grandchildren: Angie (Todd) Southwell, Janice (Matthew) Burton, James Brame IV, David Brame, Sandi Allgood, Troy Allgood, Stacey Allgood, Mansey Moore, Crystal (Ken) Corbett, Paige (Ben) Roof, Chad Hastings, Joe (Elise) Siddons, Daniel (Kathleen) Siddons, Kathryn Farr, Kallie Farr, Aaron Lucas and Alexandra “Loula” Diakakis; 4 great-great-grandchildren: Erin Dudley, Morgan Roof, Lauren Southwell and Kendall James Burton.
