Funeral Services for Onra Mitchell, age 91, of Moss Point, MS, formerly of Salem Community, who passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, will be held Monday, November 8, 2021, at 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home Chapel.Visitation will be Monday, November 8, 2021 from 11:00 am until 12:00 pm at McDonald Funeral Home. Burial will be in Gipson Cemetery under the direction of McDonald Funeral Home.Rev. Ralph Smith will officiate the service.A native of Pearl River County, MS, he was a retired Contractor and a member of Franklin Creek Baptist Church. Onra enjoyed working and spending time with his family and friends. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rayford Mitchell and Eunice Ella Farmer Mitchell; his wife of 72 years, Irene Bilbo Mitchell; his brother, Charles Ray Mitchell; his sister, Evelyn Inez Eade; and his granddaughter, Madeline Grady Lyon.Left to cherish his memory are his children, Allen R. Mitchell, Patsy Gail Walters, Belinda Sue Fisher, and Randy Steven Mitchell; his grandchildren, Allison, Dana, Jennifer, Corey, John, Derek, Carla, and Matthew; several great grandchildren; his brothers, Jack F. Mitchell and Donald F. Mitchell; his sister, Melva Kay Wages; and numerous nieces and nephews.
