On April 4, 2006, Omer Haywood Dinsmore passed on. Omer was predeceased by his loving wife of 38 years, Fannie Ruth Hill Dinsmore; and his loving wife of 11 years, Mae Henri Dinsmore. Omer is survived by his companion, Penny Eurie; his dear daughter, Janice L. McFayden; his dear sons, Stewart W. and Dennis K. Dinsmore; his loving sister, Elsie Beale; his grandchildren, Brandon and Charleen McFayden, and Jason and Ben Dinsmore; and his great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Gunner Haywood and Mason McFayden.

Omer was predeceased by one brother, seven sisters, and his grandson, Colby McFayden. Omer was born in Virginia in 1910. He was a member of the U.S. Army for 24 years, after which he retired. He was with the U.S. Army during World War II and won an Purple Heart during that time. Omer was also with the Civil Service at Ft. Meade for 11 years in food service, after his first retirement. Omer enjoyed many hobbies, including reading, gardening, hunting, watching Jeopardy, cooking and doing handy work around the house. Omer loved telling stories. He was a ‘people person’ who enjoyed meeting other people. Omer will be missed by many.
